~Memorable Moments of My Life~

Government or Private?

Its quiet confusing to choose for me during this early age between this two. Both got their own benefit and lack. Huhu. Recently I got an interview for government sector for lecturer/tutor for Politeknik I think. But I also got a current job on private sector. The job that I like and it is my dream for a long time ago.

The interview is today, but I did not go because I think I just might get it… And I also like to further my research on this current job. So I just roughly compare for both:

Government - Private

1. Basic salary is low, but allowance is high. - Basic is quiet high (hint:Intel) but no allowance. (So the starting salary might be the same.)

2. I’ll be a teacher, the thing I do not think of it yet. - I’ll be an analyst and furthermore. (Well, yuo know, got variety of chance here.. :))

3. My salary is secure, but it increase slowly every year and as time pass by. - My salary is well paid, but challenging, and it increase maybe drastically every year.

4. Easy to get loan from the banks in Malaysia, home loan, car loan and personal loan, and the interest is low. - Hard to get loan, but still got international banks to be consider, but the interest is more than the government.

5. All I see is I cannot learn more from what I’ve interest in. - I got more chance to learn more what I like. (Means professional certificates that I can get from here and the valuable experience.)

6. Got a chance to further study for master, well sponsored and got scholarship from government, but bonded for a lifetime. - Also got chance to further study for master, full sponsored but no scholarship, and bonded for 2 years. (Ok what! :))

7. Got ‘extra’ time to rest/do other work, well, you know government, secured already. - Also got time to rest, work only 9-6, can do extra work also.

8. Some people say that … Ok stop.

A hell lot more points can be added but based on above points, I think I can still breath for a few years not being ‘taken’ by government. And I hope to come to them after a few years using my Masters Degree so that I have some place there. :p Let’s hope my dream will come true. Lets find out as the times goes by.

That’s all for the updates. Pray for me, ok! :)
