~Memorable Moments of My Life~

blogging.exe -start

Salam and very good morning to all my wonderful readers. How’s your great weekend? ;)

Its been a while since I updated my personal and computer blog. A lot of things happen, and during that time I have to admit, that I does not have time to commit to blogging.

Some reasons (which you’ll find a few of them quite common between bloggers ;p ) that I paused my blogging activities:

1. Not much information - atmosphere always mundane, cool, nothing much happen.

I recently does not getting much input to blog about. Here, I mean after I moved to new home - closer to my workplace, the atmosphere quiet routine, and there is nothing much development going around and not much ‘movement’ can be seen as the place as not as crowded as before. Some ‘unusual things’ are not usually happen compared to Damansara before.
2. Mood:Lazy

This is common reason for most bloggers to pause blogging. Maybe it seems happening to me resulted from the first reason above.

Hm.. Nah. It is not. I am just to lazy to connect my neurons to figure out what to blog, and lazy to send out signal to my hand to type what I am thinking these days.
3. Working with some other domain

This might be one of a kind, the ‘noble’ reason, why I paused my blogging activity. Addressing my computer blog as the plaintiff in this case, I found myself ‘guilty’ not to update because currently I am indulge in other domain, that is energy researching, other than computer analyst as before. So I am not entirely in front of my computer the whole day, instead doing field research at the, literally, reactor site.
4. Busy with something else - personal, money

This is rather selfish reason not to share this journal reader with my personal thoughts, money making agenda, and a few financial tips and tricks. Ok, it’s a promise. I will share those things soon after I have confidence and some experiences on managing those tasks. Good knowledge must be shared with others. It is better that way, in a hope that we, me and u,  will get the benefit more.

5. My camera phone broke - so no pic

Yeah, my phone with camera, that I usually use to capture most photos in this blog, not to mention the previous entry as an example, was broke due to water unresistant riding my motorbike during the rain. So, I can’t capture photo evidence and posted in my blog these days. It still at the nearby phone repair shop. I will push them to fix today.

6. My WP broke - can’t upload pic

I can’t believe it is WP 2.9.1 now. I am currently using the.. erm.. older version of WP. Time is so fast. Technology is rapidly evolving. One of the thing encumber me is my WP can no longer upload pic into my blogs. It looks like it broke somewhere at the plugin (Just my wild guess). So everytime I wanna upload the pics, I need to login to flickr and get the link from there.
7. I dunno what to blog about.

Yeah. I dunno. I lost my words now. :)

In conclusion, let’s start the new phase with new mood. I will periodically update my blog now. See ya. :)

Kalau xnak update blog, baik delete je blog tu..

“Kalau tak nak update blog, baik delete je blog tu..” kata Alin. Ouch.. That sound so harsh, my dear friend. Hehe. Tapi fikir-fikir balik mungkin ada betulnya. Tapi x jugak. Anyway she does not know what blog address that I am blogging. Should I say that this blog cannot be deleted as I am paying erm.. let see.. RM0.90×20+Rm30 = RM48 per year.

So, maybe today I will keep updating once again. :) The idea (to blog) is there mostly during ‘offline’ condition at various places, eg. supermarket, in the car, during traffic jams, but fade away when I just launched the browser in the mood of blogging - it end up reading mails, news and also chatting. Lolz.

This is my blog anyway. I wont blog everything like Alin (coz I’m afraid of cyberstalking same cases as Kathy Sierra who ended up cancelling her speaking engagement) but I can feel free to blog whatever and whenever I want to.

OK. I’ll see you when I see you. :)

PJ Challenge 09

Lately I keep seeing advertisement of Blogger Karnival at Petaling Jaya, sponsored by Kaspersky. And the day has come. It is today - 20th June 2009.

ACTIVITIES :
PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST ( CAPTURE KARNIVAL MOMENTS)
TREASURE HUNT
BLOG 101 (BASIC)
BLOG 411 (ADVANCE)

More info:
http://www.pjchallenge.com
Utusan.com.my

“…selain daripada Karnival Bloggers, beberapa acara yang bakal mendapat sambutan ialah PJ Drift, pertandingan perbarisan, bengkel Liveable City, lumba basikal, sukan rakyat, Power Boat, program tanam pokok dan Seminar Landskap 2009.” Utusan

Blog 411
I dunno whether I will be going or not, but I has registered in advanced for Blog 411 slot. “How to blog more humourously, the drama and emotions of blogging, secrets of the Malaysian blogosphere, how blogging relates to journalism and more.” is some description for the slot from Kaspersky SEA website.

Raising number of bloggers
From my view, there are sudden raising on the number of bloggers nowadays, and it increase rapidly everyday. I wonder how many blogspot’s subdomains has already occupied and how many dot com domains were purchased from a serius blogger every single day. Now everyone can blog, can have own website and can talk almost anything to the world. Hatred, dissatisfaction, crappy things (sounds like me isn’t it) and not to forget all the good things, motivation and ‘Chicken soup of The Day’.

Who are those featured blogger?
There are a lot of bloggers from different niche: Life, Leisure, Business, Computers, Gardening, and others. To be truth, I didn’t even know those whose name listed in that blogger 411 slot such Kenny Sia, Amanda Choe, Ellie Chee, Niki Cheong, Jason Goh and Rames (excluding Josh Lim I first known from Advertlets controversy back in 2007). Of course I do follow some personal blog like the blog linked from here and also rather peeking into kak jie’s, ayoi’s, and the small sueannajoe’s mumblings. I dunno whether to classify a good blogging need to have special techniques or just ‘be yourself’ thingy. Although what in my mind now they are only Josh Lim’s crony, but thanks to them for having some time and making this event success!

Last but not least, if I go there this morning (oh gosh, its 3.30 am now, why I’m still awake) or afternoon, I hope to see some more Malay bloggers and also getting to know more about above blogger name mentioned. (BTW Ixora, Lynn, Niesah, Lolly, and sumer pembaca, g tak? Kalo g bgtaulah ek, leh lepaking kejap.)

A couple of Qs
P/S: Maybe a couple of questions to throw out to Kaspersky Lab, the event organizer probably:
1. How do bloggers (as bloggers raising rapidly) can help stop **cybercrime (as they also growing very rapidly)?
2. Can I get your free Antivirus now?

Ok babeh, time to sleep. Berhenti merepek sekarang! :)

** Cybercrime means not bounded to only hacking, malware or phishing links, but let say distributing porns, attacking an individual personally, publish bad things or porn pic for a person, and others.

Cleaning Up Spam Comment

Well, all I can say is thank you Akismet for protecting my site from ‘known variant’ of spam comment. If not, I’ll be having some difficult time to clean them all. Sejak Dekan mengaktifkan Akismet 3 bulan lepas, spam semakin berkurangan yang anda boleh lihat seperti di sidebar di bawah iaitu: 117 semasa entri ini ditulis. Before that, I have received a lot of comments when I login to my dashboard.

For blogger.com or blogspot user, you dun have to worry about spam as Google will protect you and also you have the captcha at comment box for ‘human’ verification. Well, now the spammers has new method to deliver their spam - shoutboxes! And shoutbox also not filtering the comments from their backend, only controlled by their user. Hm.. I’m thinking of providing a service for protecting shoutbox spam, maybe standalone, or JV with Tan from Shoutmix then eye on Chatbox. Or maybe that just an idea (like always.. “Dekan, apa nak jadi ni?”) that never been virtualize.
